I take it you're ok with the $29.99 required data feature?

If so, this is a great phone!

I'll second that comment. This phone has excellent earpiece and microphone sound quality and fits nicely into anyone's pocket.

I've had the Pearl for over a year and would recommend the phone.

1. They keyboard took about 3 weeks to adjust to the suretype (coming from a full qwerty). If you text from a standard 9-key pad, you shouldn't have any trouble. For me, the size savings was worth the trade from a full-aize qwerty.

I had the pearl for a year. Hated the suretype initially, but now I'm loving it. I like the size, the screen is easy to read and I love the ease of use for the emails. As much as I love the phone, this is my second pearl and I had problem with both.
The first phone was exchanged because it kept on freezing and resetting (luckily I always sync to desktop). With the replacement, the trackball doesn't scroll down, a challenge when you're using suretype because if the first word on the list isn't the word u want u cant scroll down to select it. Took it to the store several times, each time they claim it's 'fixed' but the problem always return.
