The New Calling Plan

phillipb

My old plan was up so I signed up for
another 2 year plan. What Verizon has done
is criminal.
For example... I had weather.com which
I paid $2.50 per month. My minutes were
used for logging on to get the weather.
Verizon has done away with minute used and
is charging by the amount of information
downloaded.
This is a joke...... also, the new plan
specifics were not explained to me. I would
have just kept paying month to month.
P.S. the new phone LG 8360 is a great
phone!!!!!!!!

the Megabyte pricing has been in effect fro over a year now.

You should have been able to keep your old plan with the 8360..

if you stayed on AM choice II then youd be on 1x data too. Nationwide allows you to actually utilize the evdo. and yes the 8360 does require nationwide. Just get the vpak and browse all day long.

Did you get the phone in a store online?

I know we are required to explain the difference between the two plans if a customer has to switch. The reason they went to separate data charges is that they started offering more data options and wanted to push these new data services, which they couldn't if it wasn't it's own service.

If you are still under 30 days, you can contact verizon and get your plan rolled back provided you have your old phone. you could also find a new phone that allows the america's choice pricing and switch to that and have a price plan rollback.

I dont know who you dealt with, but even online there should have been ample in formation explaining how data is handled under nationwide pricing.

Why should this person call and demand the plan be changed back? All the literature for this phone clearly states that it must be activated on a nationwide calling plan. The only way around it is to return the phone and select a different one that does not require it.
