Activation Help
I changed my phone from the storm to the Lg Choc 3...today I reactivated my storm online..wanted to make sure everything was ok before I made a final decision to sell or whatever...then put my chocolate back on................my brother tonight went to activate it on his line and they say that it is already activated...I called vzw and the rep said the choc shows on my line so was not sure why that would be...any ideas? is it because I swapped and am having it activated again same day? thanks all

That shouldn't have to do with it. Are you sure he has the right MEID when he calls customer service and tries to activate it? If its one # or letter off it could show that its a diff storm that is activated on a completely different account. I would say to try and log into your brothers account online and change the MEID and see if it gives you that same error message. It could possibly be that the rep mis heard a letter and could have put it in incorrectly causing that error message and didn't double check it

that could be it....he may have misstyped it..he said he was trying to activate it online through my account...maybe he has to call and not add it that way?

I thought he had called customer service. He should be able to do it online as long its not activated somewhere else. What I would do is I would call CS and have them look at your equipment history and pull the MEID from there too. The #s are really small on the inside of the phone. There is a way to view the MEID on the storm from the menu or by typing in a series of #s with the dial pad but I'm not sure of it off the top of my head. Maybe someone else can reply on that
