Ok, so, im looking at the coverage map because Verizon has added the towers that Unicel had to CDMA (GSM is still in use for Roaming), and i notice that ALASKA had Verizon Pre Paid coverage.

As you know, Pre Paid can only access Verizons home network, but can Roam on other networks.

Did verizon add coverage in Alaska or buy something there?

No. They only have roaming agreements up there. They show no interest in offering service in Alaska, or they would have tried to acquire some AWS & 700 band licenses for that state. I just wonder if T-Mobile will offer service up there, as they bought AWS licenses for that state.

I know theres Roaming there, but it shows Purple for areas of Alaska, there is Roaming there, but it also shows Verizon Wireless service, not Roaming. Because Verizon's Pre Paid is only on there network, if you Roam on any other network you will be charges .20 cents a min.
