Motorola Z6c World Edition

Of all the phones that I see on the recent Verizon line-up, I think I like this one the best. Is it still available as a current model, or has it been discontinued? If it is out of production, does anyone know whether an upgrade of this phone will be available by the second quarter? I want the CDMA/GSM capability without the Smartphone stuff...just a phone, for the most part.

Give me some feedback, folks. Thanks!

Yes, I learned of the Samsung a bit earlier today. I've never owned a Samsung phone, just Motos and Nokias. Is it a better phone than the Moto? I know the MSRP is significantly higher. I will be buying the phone outright in either case. I am currently with Alltel, and I am hoping that my plan will be grandfathered in. I just want to get a phone that's a phone, not a Smartphone, with CDMA/GSM capabilities, that I can activate when Verizon takes over here in Charlottesville, VA a little later this year.

Its your choice.

Go to the store and look at them both.

ones a slider (moto) ones a flip (Samsung)

To me, Nokias and LGs Pick up the best service on Verizon.

Thanks for the info. I've never owned an LG. I had a friend, though, who worked for Nokia for 17 years, and he sent me EVERY SINGLE NOKIA that was ever made for Verizon. This is when Nokia was building their own phones for CDMA. He was great for doing it, but none of the Nokias ever worked really well for me on Verizon service when I had it out of DC. I took a look and read up on the Samsung on line, and it looks like it does a little bit more than the Motorola model. I'll have the chance to look at both phones in the DC area this week.

I appreciate the feedback.
