Samsung Phones

I am currently an Alltel customer that will soon be a Verizon customer. My contract expires the beginning of March and I am looking to upgrade to a smartphone. I currently have a Samsung SCH520 and really like the Samsung phone. With that in mind, I would like to upgrade to a Samsung smartphone. Does anyone have any idea what a good Samsung smartphone would be? Also, would it be smart to go ahead and upgrade the beginning of March or should I wait until the transition is completed?

Ok, you can switch if you want too. But make sure your contract is up. If not you will still be charged a ETF.

2nd, In your area is Alltel only, which is not a problem. You still get access to Alltels EVDO (3G) service. And all your Verizon features as well. There are no Roaming charges on Verizon, so feel free to use the internet, text, send pictures, videos, and IM. Theres no Roaming Cap eather.

Also, if you plan on buying the phone online, you will need to put in this zip code: 68501

Thats where Verizon service is located. If you put your zip in, it will send you to Alltels web site.

Alltel has strong EVDO service it looks like. Verizon will up-grade that to EVDO Rev A which is a lot faster then Rev 0.

there doing it in sections.

They will be done with the whole thing by summer.

But i have no idea the date.

I know Verizon is building stores to replace the old Alltel ones already.

If you want, you can up-grade with Alltel, then when the merge is done, you can up-grade to a Verizon phone and plan with no ETF.

So, you will have a second phone incase the Omina breaks.

Verizon will unlock Alltel phones so they can be used on Verizon network.
