Flashing phone onto "The Network"

I have a question for the experts out there: Can the LG Lotus (Sprint) be "flashed" onto verizon's network?

Bring it into a Verizon Wireless store, and they will see if it can.

There is also a new phone comming out soon thats like that phone.

It's worth a try but I doubt it since there isn't a VZW software for the LG Lotus
