Omnia New Price???

I just got my Omnia about 2 weeks ago with $100 NE2 credit. At that time, online pricing with 2 year contract was $199 with the discount already included. So I paid $100 using my NE2 credit plus tax.

Now I see that Omnia princing has dropped to $99 with the discount.

What the hell??? Does Verizon offers price protection? With my NE2 credit, I would have paid only the tax to get this phone.

Please advice.

they will give you back the $$$, we have a 30 day price protection process...but you have to ask for it.

Verizon DOES offer price protection. If you bought the phone from a corporate store, go back to the store and they will issue a credit.

If you got it from the web or over the phone, call customer support.

Speaking from experience, the stores have a process that usually - not always - applies the difference back to the original payment. Meaning, if you paid with your debit card, they put the difference back to the card.

Hey . . . you'll get the $$ back.

Not to go off topic, but I will, you've had the phone for a while now; how do you like it? Pros? Cons? I'd luv to know, I'm looking at it myself.

thx

Yeah, I called and the CSR told me that on the next billing I will be getting a credit of $99.99.

So far, it's great! It is my first time using a smart phone, so it took long time to get used to it. However, I like that I have email and web access. Pretty fast. Camera is great, too. Smart reader for the contact information works awesome. Windows Mobile allows for customization which is okay.

Cons - Battery life. Checking emails, web browsing, frequent phone calls... I use a lot. So I have to consciously remind myself to charge it time to time.

Oh yeah, also under the sun light, screen is not that visable.

Other than that, it's great!

Hey thanx.

What's smart reader? And how do you find the keyboard; that was my issue with the Storm.

Smart reader is business card scanner using its camera. All you need to do is by using the camera, phone will pick up the image and tranfer the information on the business card to automatically create a contact list.

It is really convenience not having to type numbers and letters to input contact list.

I've got one too 😁 Absolutely love it. I use Google for my email, calendar and contacts, and it auto syncs over the air.

It takes a little getting used to having to unlock the keypad to enter in acct #'s etc when you make calls out, but it's just a minor inconvenience.

Another thing I love is 8 GB internal memory with room for another 16 GB on a card.

But yeah... battery life leaves something to be desired.
