Verizon customers can call Sprint customers anytime they want, but it's not "in network". Now, Alltel and Verizon can talk to each other for free. This took place on 2/16, as Alltel is being bought out by Verizon. Is this what you meant?

They get an error about it being a non-working number because it's a Sprint number. The two are pretty much synonymous with one another.

I kid, I kid!

Actually, I've seen an issue like this before, except it was between T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. They're probably already aware of the issue and working on it, but you might want to call Verizon Wireless to be sure.

Sometimes if you put a 1 before the number you are calling it can push it through. as in 1-555-555-5555 or whatever.

Are you dialing without the area code? If so, maybe your AC got split?
