How much spectrum does Verizon needs to buy??? Every day it seems like they are biding on spectrum. Why cant they have towers like sprint, them fools dont have to worry about buying spectrum since their towers holds something like 30 times more then what the average CDMA tower can. Thats why you never hear news about Sprint buying spectrum. Can some one inform me on what type of towers are sprint using and what are the exact numbers their towers can hold.

From what I have seen on wirelessweek.com much of the spectrum Verizon is buying is for 3G networks (EV DO) and to increase current capacity. Sprint PCS and Verizon Wireless use the same technology and Sprint doesn't have 30 times the capacity. Sprint PCS is actually buying Nextel which will allow them to have extra spectrum for future plans as I have heard they are at or over capacity in some areas.
