buying new phone

Is there anywhere you can buy a new phone before your new every 2 besides verizon. But not ebay or craigs list. Anywhere like Target or Best Buy?

If you want to avoid second hand phones, often times corporate stores and indirect agents have the cheapest prices on full retail phones.


Just as a point of reference:

At our store an EnV2 goes for around 300 or so (can vary, currently 312) at Walmart across the street the phone goes for roughly 500 without a contract.

Target and best buy will be similar.

IF you have NE2, then you might have an annual upgrade after the 1-year mark. If you're a secondary line, you technically don't have NE2, and there is no annual upgrade.

I don't think I've ever seen a full retail phone at any of the big box, franchise, or mom-and-pop cell phone store that wasn't higher to compensate the company / sales rep for their time. They make zilch selling you a full-retail phone, and being on a straight commission structure means selling a $410 dare for $410 without a contract lands them nothing for their time. So they bump the full retail price up an extra $50 or so to actually make money on that transaction.

The corporate store, corporate Internet site, or corporate telesales routes don't jack up the price ...
