my wife has a moto 601c and it has worked fairly well to date. tonight she turned it off for a few hours but could not power it up later on. I reinstalled the battery twice with no luck powering up and I also plugged it in with no luck powering up. She stated it had a decent charge when she turned it off.

Any ideas??? 😢

Either the charger's gone kaput...or the phone has.

I suspect that the phone has. The phone didn't turn on when it wasn't connected to the charger. That eliminates the charger as the culprit. If the charger had been at fault, the possibly you can have the weird situation where it doesn't turn on while plugged, but does otherwise; or simply doesn't charge. Another possibility would have been the battery, but if that were the case the phone would have turned on while plugged in (getting power from the outlet) So the only remaining option would be phone itself. If you have another phone with a compatible battery, I would try that; but I don't think that would help.

Yesterday I tried again reinstalling the battery without any luck so I went to the VZW store and of course while waiting I tried again and lo and behold it worked. Possessed I think.

she is eligible for a new phone so we will replace the phone and keep this one as a backup.

Thanks
