Call Forwarding Question??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

SForsyth01

I have called VZW Customer Service 3 times regarding call forwarding and I have gotten 3 different answers (I guess I shouldn't be surprised).

My question is: If I forward my business cell phone calls to my personal phone, do both phones get charged airtime, or just the phone that is ultimately receiving the call?

Please help me because I am really frustrated. I have been told that they both do get charged, and also been told that the one ultimately receiving the call is the only phone charged airtime. I had a third person simply say they didn't know and then they hung up on me.

Thanks.

call waiting = both charged.

call fowarding = phone recieving the call last is charged.

3 way calling = both charged.

hope that helps 😁

Thank You very much. This helps alot. I have a couple more questions regarding this:

1)Is there a forwarding fee charged to the line that I have forwarded?

2)The phone receiving the call last, assuming that it is another wireless phone, is it billed as normal airtime, or is it charged a fee for receiving a forwarded call?

Thank You for your help.

This is from VZW.com

Call Forwarding
You can have calls automatically forwarded to another phone number, including your home, office or pager, until deactivated. Your wireless phone will not ring. When forwarding calls to phone numbers outside your local calling area, you’ll be billed for any toll, long distance and airtime charges incurred. Additional per-minute charges may apply to all forwarded calls. Please note that depending on your location, you may have to temporarily turn off Call Forwarding to be able to access your Voice Mail. Refer to the Basics Guide for detailed instructions.

No Answer/Busy Transfer
You can also have incoming calls answered by another phone whenever your wireless phone is busy or remains unanswered afte...

Here is something to confirm it.. this was on the Verizon website.

Airtime applies to all simultaneous calls and to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones.

if you're forwarding the call to a landline, it goes towards your phones minutes.

if you're forwarding the call to a non-vzw cell phone it will go toward your minutes and theirs.

if you're forwarding the all to a vzw cell phone it will go towards your minutes but not the destination phone.

Depending on the plan you are on, the phone number that the calls are being forwarded from will either be charged 15 cents per minute or minutes will be subtracted from its monthly allotment.

In addition the phone receiving the calls will also be charged minutes.
