Americas Choice Plan......... No National M2M?

kingfrog77

Mar 9, 2005, 5:26 PM
According to the Verizon America Choice plan you have to make a call from your LOCAL area in order to get free M2M.......unless Local means national this is a HUGE difference from Cingualars M2M which is form and to anywhere on the network....and whats with all the have to have caller ID stuff?

Verizon says:
You can now call any Verizon Wireless customer anytime, anywhere, absolutely free, without using any of your allowance minutes, when you call from the Local IN Calling Coverage Area. PLUS, receive Unlimited Night and Weekend home airtime minutes. I hope Local means National otherwise this is a rip for a "national" "no roaming" plan.

IN calling is nation wide because your local area is the united states.

Cingulars M2M explaination:

Now enjoy calls to and from any other Cingular customer anywhere in the nation while in your Rate Plan Calling Area. With Cingular Mobile to Mobile, your Mobile to Mobile coverage area is the same as your rate plan calling area.

Bad assumption. Sadly, there's too many dumbasses out there like Kingfrog. Though I'm sure he's in the bottom percentile.

In defense of Kingfrog.. (which I never thought of doing)

That was a very valid point. I never noticed it said Local. I'm going to recheck the America's Choice red brochure again.

Kingfrog.. Were you reading the red America's Choice brochure or the Local Americas Choice (blue) brochure? Or were you reading the VZW website?

I did not find it on the Verizon site but every third party seller i looked at had the LOCAL notation on the pop up.

I was actually checking out the 450 month rate plan vs Cingy since I heard Verizon lowered their rates and changed the "IN Network" M2M areas.

I looked further and found the local M2M and questioned about it. When you do a search for Verizon..you get a lot of third party netsellers not Verizon wireless Corp.......

Im impressed with the plan pricing though just add some roll over of those 450 minutes and you would have matched Cingular all the way.

BTW Roll over is the best for those who do NOT use 450 every month but will use the phone more some months ..like me becasue I travel my roll over minutes are great fo...

What kind of crack are you smoking? If you Google "Verizon" the first 2 URLs are:

http://www.verizon.com »

http://www.verizonwireless.com »

I'm not going to get into a debate about rollover or anything, but I find it hard to believe you had a hard time finding Verizon Wireless...

There are many older people who are not as internet savy and use their browsers for searching the net. Path of least resistance and all that.

You guys do make a lot of false assumptions don't ya? Itsno wonder Verizon has had to make a lot of changes lately......asuming peole will continue to pay higher prices and assume people would not notice the Digital only in Network M2M...assuming crippled BT would go un noticed....assuming the phone offerings were good enough .......

Assuming Verizon would contimue to add more customers then Cingular......keep it up..its working for ya LOL

Im no Verizon rep, dont use them and dont like them (for personal reasons) but it reads as follows, "UNLIMITED IN CALLING with National IN Calling, you can talk with any of our 42 million customers as much as you want-anytime-from within the America's Choice Home Airtime rate and Coverage Area."

So it seems its national M2M not just local. What I quoted was from their new rate plan brochure.

The VZW explanation is clear. You posted the following for Cingular:

Now enjoy calls to and from any other Cingular customer anywhere in the nation while in your Rate Plan Calling Area. With Cingular Mobile to Mobile, your Mobile to Mobile coverage area is the same as your rate plan calling area.

"...while in you rate plan calling area." Where in that definition would a customer be clear that their plan includes nationwide M2M?

The last sentance..either you are on a National plan or regional plan for rate area. So you have Nation M2M or regional M2M I suppose.

I apologize, but I looked everywhere on VZW.com and cannot find where it says "local in coverage area" for the America's choice plan. I did find it saying local in coverage area" but that is when I was looking at local calling plans.

Everywhere I looked on vzw.com in said "national in calling" when referring to the America's choice plan.

Please provide a link so we can get this fixed.

It would seem most of the reseller sites have the older description of the M2M up there before Verizon changed it.

Heres one example if you click on the 450 min plan youll see LOCAL
