reset the phone to original settings / wipe the phone WITHOUT using the actual touchscreen? Mine is not functioning and was hoping to avoid an ESN change to a new unit (they take a week with my owner account).

Thanks

None that I've seen or heard of. It doesn't require the same type of calibration that a touch-sensitive screen requires. However, it can get out of alignment from time to time, which is fixed by a battery pull. I've seen it a couple time in five months with mine.

Any way to do a full reset / wipe though Blackberry Desktop Manager or something. Battery pulls unfortunately do not work.

Thanks

Best suggestion I have based on what I've seen is this. Uninstall and applications you can simply reinstall without hassle. Then do a full backup on BDM. On the phone, go to Options> Security> General Options> press MENU> choose Wipe Handheld and follow instructions. Allow handheld to reset to default, then restore your information from the backup. Load Blackberry Desktop Manager and plug in the phone. Once ready, click on Application Loader. The phone will be read for a few seconds. Once it's done, you'll see some applications that can be selected (check boxes) to add or remove them. On the bottom right side of the applications screen is a "Settings" button, click on it. In there you will find an option to "Delete all application data," select it, and continue. This should get you as close to a wipe as possible. If you don't need any data, don't bother to do any kind of backup. If you DO need your data, you might want to do a backup first.
