what if the phone you really want is $225.00? Don't set a specific budget, spend whatever you need to on a phone you really want.

I, however, seem to do the opposite. i spend too much on phones i dont need. then again, i also sniff my feet when they're sweaty.

Call Verizon direct, they can give you a $50 credit on your bill towards a phone, just tell them what happened and you need a phone and they can usually give you a credit, I know, I have done it last week 2 times for both lines, got the bill, and for each line there was a $50 credit on it that said new phone credit, if they don't volunteer it, then ask for it, and ask about getting the rebate on top of it, as I did the same, I ended up saving $100 per phone between rebates and credits.

If you can swing it, go for the LG 7000, after the rebates and credits, that would only be $80 more then your $219 that you listed and it is an awesome phone, loaded with features and works great. Would be worth the extra money.

Hope this helps, good...
