Insurance rates are determined by Asurion, the insurance company. Once you buy a new phone, the monthly premium will be reflected by the type of phone you have.

I'm sorry. I'm confused. In our market we were told that if someone was on an alltel plan, and wanted a smart phone with Verizon that there would definately have to be a migration to a Verizon plan due to data. Pro's: Verizon's email and internet for the blackberry is so much cheaper than having an alltel "smart choice plan" starting at $89.99. Con's: None yet.

You don't have to change the plan. NetAce will let you know if you do. You can put a smartphone on any Alltel plan with the 29.99 data package, unless it's included.

There is so much going on right now, and so little correct information going out there. I'm glad I came over from Alltel, because I wouldn't have had a clue, much like most of the VZW people.

Nope. You can have VZW equipment on Alltel plans. You just can't have Alltel equipment on VZW plans.

Though, you may want to get a wireless analysis, and make sure you're on the best plan for your needs. A lot of Alltel customers are on plans that are actually too much for what they're using. Just trying to save you some cash, not cost you your other 9-10 My Circle numbers, so take a look!
