I have a 20% discount on my phone line. My wife and i want to get one bill and get a family plan. we will get "more" min too since she uses it more then me. She wants it in her name and i am worried i am going to loose the discount. Anyone here know if the discount is tied to the number? or should i just transfer hers in my name. Also would i get 20% off the family plan or only part?

If the discount is based on your employment, you need to keep the wireless account in your name to keep the discount. If your landline is in your wife's name, and you would like one-bill, you will need to change the landline phone into your name.

Most employee discounts only cover the access fee of the primary line. Secondary lines usually do not get the discount. The nice thing is that the newer family share plans have access fees that are frontloaded with the primary line, which increases your discount.

Hope that helps.
