I was reading this article on CNET's News.com website, and well anyway, check out this paragraph:

Previously, Verizon Wireless subscribers who wanted to use a data service with their regular cell phone, would either pay $1.99 per kilobyte of data. Or they could sign up for Verizon's VCast VPak service for $15 extra a month to get access to video clips, sports highlights, news updates, and unlimited e-mail and mobile Web usage.

This is true it is, "$1.99 per kilobytce"? That's gotta be megabyte, Verizon isn't really THAT greedy are they?

It's per MB. at&t recently lowered their data rates to match Verizon.

It's a typo. it is 1.99 per mb, which (until recently) was significantly lower than ATT's (which worked out to be a bit over $10 a mb). They dropped their price to match though.

Didn't we change that to $1.99 per megabit? 😉
