Hey guys i need an overall opinion on these 2 phones. Im not big on music but i just want a slider phone that does text/talk and going on email (yes i have connect plan.) Personally it seems to me the Samsung phone is better. But whats your opinion? I already had a few chocolates but they gave me some problems.

You answered your own question. The Chocolate 2 was not as bad as the original Chocolate (that would take Motorola Q Silver or V3C to accomplish) but it wasn't a great phone by any means. Now the U620 is a Media Flo phone, so assuming Qualcomm ever rolls out that service in your area, you could opt to watch Mobile TV on your phone (Yay!) Anyway, the U620 was a good phone and I can only recall having one returned to the store where I worked. Of course, way back then I was an LG maniac and I always recommended the 9400 and quite a few of those ended up coming back, but it could just be because of the numbers.

Some have had a hinge issue. It just seems like a cheap phone from the feel of it. If he has a U620 he can go to and stay out of contract or option to sign a contract for the Sway...I would recommend sticking with the U620.

a hinge issue for a slider? that's interesting. i was looking at the sway for my mother and it didn't seem poorly constructed at all, or cheap. she ended up with a different phone though. to each his own i guess.

I had a few calls where the whole slide came off. Maybe these customers just yanked it off? I don't know. I couldn't prove physical abuse over the phone certainly so I just gave them the benefit of the doubt.
