Hard to answer since in practical terms the "average Joe" has yet to use either phone. My vote would be Droid though.

Again, I will say that you cannot get a good answer to this question right now. Neither phone has been released to the public and you need to look at your own needs and decide how a phone will work in your life.

you mispelled epocrates. and if the storm was even a tiny, small hint of what to expect of the storm2 forget it. android OS looks really promising. im waiting for Passion or Predator

The storm 2 will support those programs, the original storm does. The droid may support it, will not know until after it is released. There maybe some updates to allow it.
