One year contracts??

If you choose the one year contract option through Verizon, at the end of your contract are you eligible for a new discounted phone if you renew your contract? And how would that work for a family plan?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I really don't like going the two year route. And I know for the one year option, you basically add $50 to the phone price.

Thanks.

If one signs a one year contract, one is eligible to upgrade after ten months. At that point one can then upgrade to new equipment at the one or two year price.

It's $70 more to do a one year over a two year.

If you're at the end of a two year contract you could get one or two phones for free after rebates, but likely pay $240 for the same exact phones on one year contracts. If you have New Every Two for $30, $50, or $100 (depending on your last contract and your price plan), you could potentially save a little or a lot over a one year.

Also keep in mind that you can upgrade most single lines and any family share primary line every year anyway.
