If your Mom adds you to the account as Full Access Contact and gives you the required password, you can make changes and sign a contract, and she would not have to be there with you.

If she does not add you, there's nothing you can do on the account.

The question is: Is your mom willing to give you the authority to make changes on her account, sign contracts in her name, add features etc...? I don't know that I would want to give an eighteen year old that kind of control on my account.
