Question for Reps

Sorry, I know you've dealt with this question before, but I just never had it happen, so I didn't really pay attention...
Have a 9 month old Palm Centro that just died. The center button (unlock) will not work, so, uh, I can't use the phone at all without a battery pull/restart every time... It is not wet, just normal scuffs/scratches. Being under a year old (I have no insurance) will they replace it with a refurb or new Palm and what do I do if they will? Do I need to go to the store I purchased it at or any store? Do I need my receipt? Am I sol? (I am the primary on a family share plan, no one on my plan is eligible for upgrades until January, and my yearly upgrade as the primary is not until Feb.) Thanks.

You would get a certified like new Palm Centro if its under the year warranty.... no you dont need your receipt... btw we dont have any NEW Palms anymore...... I seriously doubt any stores will have replacement phones for the Centro... so call customer service.

I called and they said I'd have the replacement by Tuesday so all is well. I'll just have to live with an extremely old, ugly Razr until then.

Cool. Next day shipping at no extra charge. You got a good rep. One never nows if they will stick to 2 day or not.

by policy it should always be the free two day. Overnight shipping should not be waived except in specific situations where it is allowed (ie customer cant place online order because website is fubar)

Ugh! You have my deepest sympathies. Mine made it a year and a half but, is also dying a similar, quick death. No advice except hang in there.

This is the number you need. (866) 406-5154

That's the warranty phone number and they will ship you a replacement out. It should ship on Monday and you'll have it on Wednesday.

Thanks. I took the phone to a store in my area who services phones, but they told me they could process the fru but it would take longer if they did it than if I called (and they gave me the same # you did). I called on Sunday and received the replacement this morning. Syncing was flawless and once again Verizon customer service was on top of their game. Thanks everyone for the info.
