Who cares? The maps were taken right from ATT's website. ATT has now 'adjusted' the maps to show 'data coverage' and not 3g coverage when you first look at them.

VZW611LA is the last person who should be name calling anyone. As if he has never posted in other carrier forums.

I have compared both and I can tell you Edge is exactly like Verizon's 1X. I'm lucky to get 100k with it. The map Verizon uses is accurate. That whole area is EVDO and 3G. Most if not all of it is also Rev. A. Even if it was Rev. 0 it still has the same basic download speeds, just slower upload. It's still 3G. AT&T needs to stop crying. I wouldn't have included Edge either. It's not 3G, and it's slow as crap, not broadband.

Verizon is saying typical speeds, not theoretical speeds.

Att always lists "optimal max speed"

National Access is 1x.

Edge is comparable to 1x...not Rev A. But 1x (CDMA2000) is classified as 3g where as Edge is only 2.5g.
