New VZW ETF questions
So I currently have the old $15/month Vcast/data package, prorated $175 ETF?
I buy a Blackberry (or any PDA/smartphone) off E-bay, activate it, pay the $30/month data package, now I will have a prorated $350 ETF? 😕
That doesn’t seem right.
I dump the Blackberry (or any PDA/smartphone) go back to my dumbphone, now I only have a choice of the new $10/$20/month data packages, and going back to the prorated $175 ETF?
Am I understanding VZW’s new ETF correctly?

The ETF only changes when you resign a contract.
The ETF does not jump up with user provided equipment.
The way it goes is if you get a blackberry (or other smartphone) from verizon at a discounted rate in exchange for a contract. This will set your ETF at 350. If you switch to a later date, the ETF will remain at the higher amount, no matter what phone you have on the account because your got a discounted smartphone.
User provided equipment will not change anything, unless I'm missing something.

Exactly. Sign a NEW contract with an advanced device, $350 ETF. Activate an existing advanced device or buy one without contract, no ETF change.
