AT&T Ad
So what's the point? Weird that a competitor was kicking this company's ace with a new ad...just like Verizon is. Hmmmmmm...

Oh, but you CAN know for sure. Many people cannot get service in their homes or offices, so they switch. For them, clearly, they KNOW. Sometimes Verizon is better. Sometimes AT&T is better. However, when a company's customer base is becoming increasingly depenent on ONE phone selection, they have issues they need to address. And for Verizon to run neck and neck with AT&T WITHOUT the iPhone, well, you do the math.
Agreed. I have seen a combo of people I know who have ATT and the iPhone and they both tout its success. I know people that have Verizon and they're saying that even though Verizon doesnt have the vast lineup of phones (I think they're talking about the iPhone but wont admit it...

I remember a driver with USF freightways Holland division, who has the 3G iPhone. He tried to convince some friends & family in either North Carolina, or Virginia to get AT&T, because he wanted to have free calling with them. Some had Verizon, some had USCC. When he went to vi...

Locally, Sprint has good coverage in town, but stinks in most of the state. There are areas where Verizon won't allow Sprint to roam, and there are areas where Sprint refuses to allow their own customers access to Verizon towers.
Do you know for sure that Verizon isn't letting its own customers use Sprint, or is that speculation? Do you work with the roaming contract department?

Roaming agreements aren't as simple as open use of network. Sometimes its a customer's own carrier that won't allow roaming.

This has been discussed on the howardforum board in the Verizon forum. XFF on the HoFo board has done interpretations of the PRL's for Verizon, and for a certain area of Texas, Sprint isn...

I would hate to have to build out any PCS. It takes too many towers. They should try to negotiate for a swap for some 850.
The way the 850 band was put in place was done in the 70's or early 80's. Since the days of analog, it required a lot of spectrum, and decided that 2 carriers would hold those licenses. For my area prior to Verizon Wireless & Cingular/AT&T (current AT&T, as the old AT&T was PCS in my area), Cellular One held the A side, & Ameritech Cellular held the B side. Unless the FCC decides to make carriers divest a portion of the 850 band, then we won't see that band split up anytime soon.
PCS does require more tower, but properly built, can sometimes be better than an 850 b...

If that day ever comes VZW better have enough room on the network to hadle the loads of users downloading useless farting apps, or whatever the heck they get on that device.

God help us all if that day ever comes -- I'm referencing the day VZW gets an iPhone. I'm quite content with my 3G speeds right now and I don't need the network to become a bloated piece of crap like ATTs.

Amen my brother. All I am saying is, I dont want to see it come to Verizon but if it does, I am more than sure that Verizon would plan ahead before accepting that device on its network.
