I like it. Apple is showing little brother how it's done.

I find this desperate, cause it's really AT&T's only true jab at Verizon Wireless.

I will admit that it does suck that we can't do both, and there has been times that I need to send an email or check emails during a call and I couldn't.

AT&T needs more ammo, I must say if they are going to make the big Red look bad.

Of course Apple is going to back them up, their only phone is with AT&T.

Exactly. Perhaps the boys at AT&T should have turned it over to Apple in the first place. Of course, Verizon's rebuttal should be that this feature can only happen when one is actually in a 3G area. 🤣

Yeah- Verizon should sue to mandate they include a "Service only available in 3G areas" tagline on the commercial.

It doesn't hurt me. I have the MiFi and WiFi on my phone. If I am close to a WiFi hotspot, I get on that. If I am in the Car, I get on the MiFi.

That's all AT&T has? HAHA! AT&T=FAIL

AT&T is worried, they point out that their network is faster. I say seeing that is 5x smaller, I would hope it is faster. I'd rather have VZW because I would have great coverage is way more areas.

They say they have the most popular smart-phones. I thought AT&T and VZW pretty much have the same phone with the exception of a few. They both have phones the other doesn't have (Droid and Iphone). AT&T has 16 PDA/BB and VZW has 15. I think they are talking about their precious Iphone. What counts as a popular phone, because I know plenty of people that bought the Iphone to not activate it on AT&T.

They point out that we can't talk and surf the net or use data at the same time. Ok, we'll take that blow (slap on hand VZW). That is something ...

Unless Verizon suddenly started offering the iphone...I'd say AT&T still has the advantage. It remains to be seeen how the Droid matches up to the iphone. Let's wait until the fourth quarter numbers are released before you throw any victory celebration. Sure superior network goes to Verizon, but it did 3rd quarter and AT&T pretty much wiped the floor with VZW...thanks to the iphone.

Droid doesn't hold a candle to the i-Trashcan...yet. Wait until the apps are out there. Open source will mean more apps, more apps means more stuff, more stuff means less reason to carry the i-Trashcan.

Open source apps will never match up the the Apple App store. I work for AT&T and I have no beef with Verizon, it's a good company, but that's just plain fact. The other biggest problem is the Droid, and any phone Verizon or any company throws out there, is it's just too late. The iPhone launched in June 2007. Over two years ago. You can't compete with something that already has two years of market dominance.

Compare it to when Microsoft launched the Zune to compete with the iPod, years later when everybody already had an iPod. The Zune is a great device, just as the Droid is, but it's a day late and a dollar short. For the most part I'd say once you have an iPhone your gonna stick with an iPhone. Maybe you'll get some to switch, and som...

Wishful thinking. Apple is not going to pout because Verizon made some commercials slamming AT&T's network. When the deal is right MEN will sit down at the table and make money.

You're right, just like Apple won the PC wars of the 1980's with their proprietary hardware and software. Nope, Apple can do no wrong and will dominate forever...just like Moto and their Razr.

So? The Verizon Communications CEO what's his name...Ivan whatever is on record that Verizon wants to sell the iphone the ball is in Apple's court. Now the iphone is NICE! No doubt about it, but is not going to pull every VZW customer to port in to AT&T (even if their network COULD stand that much traffic). Now since there are 80 million plus potential customers on Verizon, do you really believe that Apple would not want to get a piece of that action? Seriously? I'm going to say it again...MEN don't work like that. I could hate your guts, but if you have a way for the two of us to make some money...it is ON. Let's make those dollars!

I am using my trusty LG-VX7000 for calls, my 8330 for email and browsing on the handset with my XV6900 for tethering. Yeah, I have WAY to much money going to these guys, eh?

That's cool! I wondered how I was able to have the native browser on my Curve and Bolt running at the same time. I keep waiting for one to fail.
