ETF fees??
does that help?
1. complain.
2. transfer ownership of your contract
3. use your phone that you have now for their buyback program.
4. pay the ETf, sell your phone then move on.
nextel18 said:That's terrible advice...telling someone to "threaten to leave their carrier". You've got to remember that the person on the other end of the line is a rep that very well may be a member of our esteemed group. Making threats gets things off on the wrong foot and things usually escalate from there. If you're going to do anything, be polite and see if there's any way ...
hmm. well, obviously i can help you, but if you complain to your wireless carrier now, they might do something. threaten them with you leaving them. also if you have a phone thats worth something, i am sure that if your wireless provider has some sort of buyback you can get some money back and then pay for the ETF.
does that help?

There are a lot of reps in this forum. Suppose someone told a person to take back the phone you sold to that person before the 14 day trial period was up and you lost your commission? That would suck, woudln't it?
it is not terrible advice... it is good advice. i did it and it worked.

no, that is just life. we barely see that happening anyway.

can anyone waive mine? i want a phone with bluetooth and not a motorola or a PDA.

i know, but you immediately took an unnecessary tone with me. it was just an inquiry. the sarcasm was un-needed.
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Grantizzle said:It wasn't meant at sarcasm...I was just wondering if putting a rep in that situation is the right way to go about it. That's all.

Grantizzle said:I hope not...somehow I think the company discovering ETF fees were flying out the window would be pretty serious.
well, if it would out them in that position, i doubt they would do it.

I dont know if this will work but try calling and telling your service provider that where you are moving, they dont have service. I know a friend of mines did it with cingular and he got away with it
2.) before vzw will waive your etf in a case like that, they'll require you fax a copy of your utility bill in the area they don't have service.
