PagePlus on the Verizon Network?

Here in Kansas City, MO we have a new, non-contract service called PagePlus. They claim that they provide the same reliability that Verizon does because they use Verizon's network for service. They offer 39.95 unlimited talk and text with no contract.

My question is this: Is there claim true? About the use of verizon's network and reliability?

they use the native network... glance at a prepay map to see the difference, it is pretty close coverage wise.

as far as reliabilty it will be decent, but who do you think gets president on the network, Verizon customers or Page plus. Plus there customer service is horrible from people I know that used the service. if you do use them there phones are crazy old and cheap... I know they still sell the lg 4500 and lg3300 (both well over 3 years discontinued) they also charge for picture messaging!

If i needed a cheap phone just to talk on and cared less about data and a cool device and my credit sucked.... page plus all the way

Well, they say that they can activate ANY verizon phone. I have verizon now, so it's not a credit issue, it is about getting the same or comparible cell service for a hell of lot less............some of us don't make six figures or were born with a silver spoon in our mouths 😁 😁 😁

nor was I or do I.
knock yourself out....if you just want calls and the occasional text you should be ok.... I myself must have my blackberry and navigator so page plus would be useless for me and my wife's plan is only abut $45 because everyone she talks to is Verizon anyway so it wouldn't help me... for the additional $5 I would rather have Verizon. If you are paying $60+ for just minutes and occasional texting and need to drop your bills then you should be OK.

Yea, we are heavy txters and occasionally check our yahoo and gmail emails. I'm just shopping around. Right now, we're not ready to make any moves but just looking to see where we can cut corners.

Can't be beat. It is on Verizon's network. I have talked three friends into getting Page Plus and they have not had any complaints. All provided their own equipment (Samsung Alias, LG-VX8300 and an LG-VX8100). Page Plus is not a new company. When I worked retail back in '06 their plans were not this attractive and customer service was horrible. We'd have their customers come into our store trying to get assistance and shake our heads at them as they complained about equipment problems. It does use Verizon's native coverage and with unlimited text and talk you should have nothing to complain about. I would pull the trigger but I have two smart phones and two regular phones on my account. I can't see the same savings.
