Call Forwarding to local US number while out of country

Hi,

I'd like to bring my Blackberry Tour to Costa Rica. There is no great International SIM there, so I am just keeping my Verizon connection for absolute emergency outbound situations. In the meantime, I want to forward all my voice calls to a US number (which I have currently done).

With call forwarding set across the board, will I be charged for roaming before the call is forwarded or will it simply route to the US number as a US-originated call? Answer could make a huge difference in what approach I use!

Thanks so much for your help!!
Cheryl

You will not be charged for roaming. You would only roam if you placed a call from Costa Rica on your Tour or if your Tour actually received a call while you are in Costa Rica, which will not happen if your mobile is being immediately forwarded.

You can foward it and not worry about Roaming $. Also, don't forget to to cur data off unless you are getting the Unlimited email plan when outside the US. It's 65.00 I think...
