Hey all, I'm getting ready to switch to verizon and i was wondering if they had a phone where you could type in the last 4 digit's of a phone number and then hit talk and it would dial that number automatically if it was on your phonebook. My current samsung A640 does it, and I was just wondering if that feature was still around. Thanks all.

Why not attach your most dialed numbers to the first 9 buttons on your handset and just hit ONE button to speed dial? Or am I missing something here?

Heh, because I haven't used that feature in years, and I tend to forget which numbers are attached to which speed dial. Since I've been doing it this way for years, I kinda have my mostly used numbers memorized. With the new cell phones you can have 3 digit speed dials and theres no way i'd remember that speed dial 50 is my bank account or whatever.

You can go by name in the phonebook... Most phones will direct you to that and you can select which one you want to dial... Like if you are calling mom you would hit "666" (wow... I didn't know that would be that but oh well) and most phones will show mom, then hit send...

Get a Motorola like the V710 or something like that and use name dial or voice activated dialing. You press a button say name dial and say the name. How much easier can that get? You can also say digit dial, voice mail, redial, received calls, and camera. All those are voice activated on the V710. You don't even to open your phone if you have a headset in. If you are lazy like me that phone will work for you. 😛

They must have really improved voice functions since I last used it. Cause the last time I used it, it didn't work worth a good god d#$m. I know the a670 has all that, and i'm sure the 6100 does too. I'm looking at either of those and maybe the 7000, but would have to get used to the height due to the big screen. Thanks for the info 😁
