early upgrade means voided Ne2 discount. wait for the Ne2 unless you'd enjoy spending more money on a phone.

The ne2 upgrade is 2 months EARLIER than the contract date.

Its hard enough for customers to know the process on how VZW works with upgrades let alone know specific verbage.

bleh. no no no.

an "early upgrade" is a phone that can be upgraded before standard upgrade time.

standard upgrade date = two months before end of contract.

typically, early upgrades are not offered on secondary lines.

an "early upgrade" will void the Ne2 credit.

trust me. i do this 50 hours a week.

I think what schnozejt was trying to get at was that XXDennis11XX was more than likely told by a rep that he is eligible for an upgrade two months before his contract is up. To xXDennis that would define an 'early upgrade'. Customers don't know what 'early upgrade' means in verizon employee language. You've just confused your poor customer instead of focusing on his needs and simply answering his question. You need to look at the question from the customers point of view. By the way .. I'm only 3 weeks into training so I may be misinformed but doubtful.
To XXDennis11XX ... if you're refering to the date which is 2 months before the end of your contract you should be eligible for an upgrade at that time. I'm not sure what to tell you as far ...

by the way i do have the LG VX8000 which is an excellent phone. i've had it for almost 2 months now. my only complaints are that the camera button is right where my thumb sits if i have it up to my right ear which i shouldn't do because my right here is half deaf. if you happen to accidently press that button it makes this loud annoying sound that says you pressed a button during a call you werne't supposed to and it scares the crap out of me every time. the other thing is that i can't see what time it is when i'm on a call. so you'd better have a watch. other than that the phone is flawless and the VCAST is awesome. if i were to suggest a phone i'd definately suggest getting a 3rd Generation phone. the 8000 is one of the first 3G phones tha...

Welcome to vzw, which center? One thing you should learn right away is that when posting in the vzw forum realize that different areas of the US has different policies on certain things. For example, in i2k markets customers can upgrade their equipment 12 months into their 24 month contract--> They sell the phone at the 1yr price with a 2 yr contract; since the contracts dont stack, the customers contract only extends one year--> so they pay the 1yr price for essentially a 1yr contract. Also in i2k markets pp changes aren't retroactive to the very beginning of the day of change, but instead the following day.

Thats one great feature I love about my 8900-->I can view the time on the external display no matter what i'm doing on the main dis...

see they haven't said anything about that. early upgrade to us is just 2 months before the end of the contract. or it could mean just getting a phone before you're due and breaking your NE2 program. thanks for correcting me though. 🙂 what is the 8900?

...also go to jdpower.com and see that LGs are ranked pretty high as far as quality is concerned so that's a plus. that's the way i chose my phone as well as my carrier long before i was an employee of the #1 wireless carrier in the US. 🙂 ok i'll stop being cheesy and go to bed. but hopefully the 8100 will be out by the time you're up for a new one. i know i'm gonna get it as soon as it comes out. i can't wait!
