Question on upgrading
I am up for my NE2 and really want to get the ENV Touch but I need to know the answer to a question first. My wive currently has the ENV3 and she is not being charged the required 10.00 useless data plan on our family plan. My question is if I upgrade using my NE2 I know I will have to pay 10.00 a month for the useless data but will I also have to pay for her line since her phone requires it now? Thank you for your responses.

You will not have to pay for data on her line.
You know, you might give the data a chance. You may find there are things that are worthwhile.
I see dozens of folks like you every month that walk in not wanting data and walk out knowing 5 or 6 things that make their lives a bit easier or more entertaining.

Thank you for answering my question... I am going to go in tomorrow to get my new phone... I am open to data I am just worried that I would go over and I am not in a position to pay 30.00 a month more for unlimited... Do you know how long the 25mb would last me if I just use it to check email or surf the net like watching videos on youtube?

Most data that would be used on an enV Touch is limited and therefore it is tough to use up 25MB unless you were using it multiple times per day. I wouldn't do too much youtube but email and web surfing wont set ou back 25MB.
...
I was under the same assumption. I just had a kid come in who has used over 60MB and is only 15 days in to their cycle!

Sounds like backdating a feature change to the unlimited plan may be in order. YouTube strikes again no doubt.

You might also ask a store rep to see if they can do a price plan change to the old Connect plan. We can still do it in our local stores, just got to dig around for it in the system.
It might be worth getting the $10 on her line then, as she'd be grandfathered into unlimited with you.

...or he might not. She hasn't been using data all this time, why give her ideas. I remember when text messaging was $.10 to send and $.02 to receive and we were encouraged to demo the benefits of text messaging. Little did we know those evil *Bleepards* would one day have the audacity to charger people $.20 per message for something which costs them NOTHING. So to the original poster...No as long as you don't make an equipment change on her line...she is good.
