If your phone is off and someone sends you a text you'll get it once you turn you phone back on. So is the time stamp of that text of when you recieved it or when it was sent? 😕
I'm leaning towards when you receive it.

The time stamp is generated by the handset, not the network. It is the time received, not the time sent.
