Help with my enV Touch phone
Hey guys im not sure if this happened to anyone else who has this phone now for a bit. But i ran into a issue with it where i turned the phone off and turned it back on and my wallpaper and my display fonts got reset and now it gives me a hard time logging into some web sites like facebook and this wrestling board i go to. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
I brought it to Verizon and they told me there is a new software version out for it because LG caught on to the issue. But the thing that doesn't make sense is that the over the air software update he said if i do it that way instead of bringing it to the store i can lose all my data and such. So its like whats the point of having the OTA update if it can lose info?? Makes no sens...

Take it to the store for the update. It takes awhile, too. I left mine at the store and went back for it. But it worked like a charm....so far

That's an interesting experience.
Technically, any time you do a software update there's a small chance that you'd lose your data or even fry your phone. Just like there's a small chance you'll die in a fiery wreck on your way to work. Losing your data can happen whether you do it over the air or in the store, and because being in business in 2010 means covering your own ascot against litigation, they're supposed to be saying that any time they touch a phone for any reason. Seeing as we're all human, of course it's not mentioned each and every time, or in your case, misunderstood and relayed to a customer incorrectly.
