withe the battery getting hot and it draining in 4 hours it seems like you possibly might be in a low/no reception area which would cause the batter to drain MUCH quicker (a matter of hours) I dont know much about the camera not starting up, Samsung makes a VERY good phone, along with LG they are the best phones for Verizon hands down, I doubt they will swap it out, however the best way to go about it is to just be very nice to the tech and store manager, explain your problem and see if they will put you in a different phone (maybe the lg 6100 which is a similar phone in price and features, however it is tri-mode and the samung is just dual mode) either way good luck and let us know what happens!

I too have had the same problem and luckily for me I upgraded to the LG 6100...i actually went to the store numerous times but had my best luck when I called...good luck and by the way i think verizon has a policy in which if u have swapped the phone out 6 or more times they will upgrade you to soemthing different...good luc...

I went in yesterday to the verizon store and I told them what was wrong with the phones the lady that was helping me said i have two choices i can get the a670 again or i can get a Lg vx7000 for free.When i was about to tell her that i wanted the vx7000 she said nevermind.I have to take the a670 and if something happens to it again i get to comeback and get a vx7000.
