I was wondering if i bought a phone off of craigslist or eBay is there any way i can transfer the insurance over to it?

Also i currently have the enV Touch and the resetting of the phone (turning off and on) is really getting on my nerves, are the Dare or the Voyager phones anything like the internet that the Touch has? I'm picky with it being the exact same way lol I'm sorry. But i just need an honest answer.

No. insurance is only on devices you purchased from a verizon store or an authorized retailer. While you can continue paying for it (they won't auto remove it from your account) when you go to make a claim it will get denied, and they won't refund your money.

And no, the internet is different than it is on the envytouch, though similar enough if all you need are basic sites.

But if you call verizon and tell them you want to switch phones but still want to keep the insurance and what not, can't they still do that over the phone? When you say they won't auto remove it do you mean the feature will still remain on the account?

And Ok but are the HTMLs full html web browsing on both devices and does either device randomly shut off and on like the enV Touch?? I just want to know before i make any moves lol.

No, they only offer insurance on devices purchased new, or Certified Like New, through corporate or authorized sources. They won't insure any phones you get off of Ebay or Craigslist.

They will still bill you every month for the insurance since it is not automatically removed, but once you try and make a claim, they will refuse it saying that phone isn't covered. This is why whenever you do an ESN change now over thephone or (I presume) online, it warns you that your insurance might be invalidated by the switch. If they see that the phone wasn't new, or Certified like new, they deny the claim.

The Voyager has the randomly shut off thing. Not sure about the Dare, though I know that one is prone to other software glitches

Oh alright, because my current device is making me a little nuts and was hoping to do something different lol. Well now my question is since my enV Touch keeps resetting itself would doing an insurance claim or getting it warranty replaced? Because i hear the replacement ones are alot worst than the original mint device.
