I doubt it- even if that's the case small price to pay for an open market. Hell maybe the dude just needs to install task killer and set it to crazy. The more likely the case is HTC battery sucks compared to the Motorola Droid!

And it's easy to find bad apps. Just check your battery usage. Apps that are consuming a lot of battery? Uninstall until they fix.

I'm just really frastrated that Mon/Tue/Wed has passed with *nothing* I don't know why Google didn't start the conference on Monday?!!!? Phone Scoop is suppose to be full of headlines about FroYo and Android 2.2 or 2.5 whatever it's going to end up being called, and now I have to wait until the 4th day of the week!
