I totally agree, and the borders around the left and right of the screen are too much. If you're going to punch up a display that large, you've got to absolutely minimize the footprint an every other conceivable way.

However, it looks to me like the "Android" buttons at the bottom may be hard keys instead of capacitive keys. I like that, personally.

I think you guys might be in the minority, it seems most people are pretty JACKED UPabout getting a 4.1 to 4.3 screen. Each to his own tho, for those not pumped there is always the Droid 2.

Thanks for the link. It's oh right. It doesn't even say Motorola on it though.

Since your a fellow Droid owner perhaps you could explain something to me. And don't make fun of me! I have the song "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion attatched to both my mothers cell & landline #'s, and it won't play when she calls!!!!!! It plays my regular ringtone, any ideas as to why my Droid won't play the assigned ringtone?

That is an old picture. I'm not sure why your ring tone won't play. I have a jack bauer 24 ring tone plays just fine. You selected it right? Are your assigned tones working for email and txt?

Another problem I'm having from time to time is my homescreen disapears!!! Yeah, that's right, dissapears!!!!!! I double tap on the homescreen and all 7 homescreens are a blank white (using Heelix launcher). The only way I can fix it is to power off and power back on.

From what I have read heelix launcher is super stable so who knows. My phone bugs out on this and that sometimes, but I just chalk it up to being a mini pc. I reboot mine every once in awhile alwys solves my problem better than powering down. Control alt delete case you did not know.

Copy, I just did it. How often do you do a restart?

I've been trying to get an answer to this question, but I haven't been able to get a response from anybody. I am really, really hoping my next smartphone has one of those awesome Samsung Super AMOLED screens, do you think Samsung will license their Super AMOLED tech out to other manufacturers? Such as Motorola?

I just do it when my phone stalls or freaks on something, once a day certainly will not hurt anything. I guess the AMOLED has only been released on a couple of phones so far, sounds cool! I don't know about Sammy licensing out the Tech, but I'm sure others will have no problem copying good stuff.

Hey a new picture of the Shawdow laying on its side.

Dude! Are you having a tech-gasm over this? Well I did see Verizon branding down on the bottom, doesn't get much more official than that. Verizon sure is having an onslaught of Android smartphones this year!!!! Devour, Incredible, soon to be Shadow or whatever it's official name ends up being.

I said nothing about changing the screen dimensions. 4.3" is fine. The problem is that casing around the phone is too big. I want to see iPhone-like clearances on the left and right side of the body. The plastic housing should be visible for 1/8 of an inch or less on the sides of the screen.

A 4.3" screen diagonal should fit into a shell with a 6" or maybe 6.25" diagonal on the housing. This thing looks more like 7" to 7.25" total overall diagonal. The housing is too big.

I agree!!! Anything bigger than the Moto Droid is too big, 3.7 is just fine for a smartphone screen. I just want a super AMOLED screen.

Yep, I did. I saw somebody with an HD2 just yesterday, it is slim. It may be awesome for web browsing, but what about ph conversations that are 45 minutes+, I wouldn't want to hold something that big up to my face that long.
