can I use this phone???
hi. I'm new to the whole cdma thing. I'm a nextel/gsm person. I have rcently gotten verizon plan but, I really like the sprint phone Sanyo PM-8200. I copuldnt get the sprint service because I live in the boonies and theres no sprint service here, only roam. Is there any way to get one of those "unlocked" and then activiated on verizon???

sorry but it cant be used with Verizon, there are a lot of reasons it wont work with Verizon but that is the simplified reason

Im not famiar with that particular phone but LG and Samsung at e VERY good phones with Verizon, I have heard GREAT things about Sanyo but have not actually used one so far

Sanyo has an exclusive contract with Sprint. They will ONLY make phones for Sprint.
You can, however, have the phone flashed with the appropriate software to make it work with VZW. But I don't know how to go about doing that, nor do I know how costly it would be.
