So has anybody else come to Vzn because of being disgusted by the deformed Backflip from AT&T?

I'm just wondering if any others have come to Verizon due to being fed up with the deformed Motorola Backflip as being the only Android option on AT&T. Here we are it's now the 1st of June, and still, only the retard Backflip is the only Android option.

So has anybody else given up on waiting for AT&T?
What about those of you who work @ Verizon stores, are people like myself porting from AT&T due to the Backflip being the only Android option on AT&T?

ATT is about the iPHONE! If you don't want the iPHONE, they don't want your business.

I've sent employees to shop AT&T stores, and this pretty much the mentality at the local AT&T stores.

Um, other choices are the ATT banded Nexus One or an unlocked Motorola Milestone.

But if your looking for a discounted Android, Backflip is it.

Personally I don't consider the deformed Backflip an "Android" smartphone!

If I was in the position to pay $500 for a Milestone I would have.

I'd pay $500 for a phone is if I got discounted monthly bills (Ala'T-Mobile... to bad they SUCK network wise...)

Agreed... I'm waiting on *REAL* Android phones to hit AT&T.f

And praying that AT&T don't fek em up...

I can't remember exactly how long I've had mine... but I'm not due an upgrade or out of my contract yet.

*IF* a phone worthy of getting comes out, I do have a line I can use the upgrade on tho... but it'll be Christmas or so before I'm eligible to leave without ETF.

I actually switched last night from AT&T to Verizon. Partially due to the lack of Android and possible Android functions but a good chuck due to horrible service coverage area and the lies customer service tells to get you off the phone.

I am now sitting on the Verizon network with a Motorola Droid in my hands. Unfortunatly the Incredible wasn't in stock anywhere in my area or I would have had that.

So there are others out there like me. I was with ATT for 8yrs, contract free for half that cause I had too high standards and there was nothing that intrigued me, so I stuck to unlocked/unbranded handsets like the Nokia N95. But then 2010 came, Vzn had the Moto Droid, and literally the only supposed Android choice on ATT was the, and on June 2nd still is the deformed Backflip.

I had been with AT&T for a bit over 2 years, I actually cut my contract and ate a large fee of early term costs to switch out. I didn't do it for the Android operating system specifically but that was a perk as AT&T is so stuck on iphone that they don't care about anything else. I had an iphone for most of my time with AT&T and while it was nice, I am liking the DROID better as far as speed and control goes.

I was just pissed at AT&T for not giving me the coverage I need and BSing me every time I got on the phone with them. The only backbone that anyone had was telling me that they are investing X billion bucks into their network but as I told them, that is for a world wide network and that doesn't indicate a fix for all areas other ...

That's a really stupid excuse! Your in an area too large to cover everybody! It's called cell towers, put them up!

I live in Las Vegas, and coverage for all 4 major carriers is fine here, I see people who are with all kinds of carriers, here, not just the big 4, but Cricket, Metro, and Boost also. Las Vegas really isn't all that big of a place, it goes up to the mountains in all direction.

Anyway, that reps mentatily will probably cost ATT quite a bit of customers!!!

I thought it was one of the worst I have ever head and I have been a customer of T-Mobile, Sprint, Alltel and AT&T in the last few years and while I have heard woppers of excuses, that one takes the cake. Even if that is true, you don't tell a customer that.

I'll probably switch my line to Sprint at the end of this year and get an Evo (or whatever might be avail for christmas).

I have no real interest in Verizon, although... depending on how coverage works out where I live I may end up having to consider Incredible or what ever...

Who knows what will be on the market by Nov/Dec. I'm sure it'll be interesting though.
