Verizon/Phones From Internet Sellers
My Question:
Is there any reason why I shouldn't take out a contract with Wirefly, Let's Talk or any of the other Internet sellers? I see where they have much better deals on phones (vs. Verizon). Also, if one is entitled to a Verizon discount (because of who you work for) - can you still go to an internet seller and then go to Verizon to apply and receive your discount (monthly service)?
Thanks
It may take one or two bill cycles before your discount actually appears on the bill. You may have to fax documents into the call center to prove that you work for the company. A clear photocopy of your employee ID or pay stub will be adequate. You can black out the dollar amounts on your pay stub.
My personal opinion about buying a phone online from an indirect agent:
You get what you pay for. It may be a great deal, and the phone is in fact identical to the phone you will get if you buy it directly from VZW. So what's the catch?

As I always tell people, do NOT buy a contract over the internet. Buying from a company directly such as Verizon Wireless is fine. You can use the internet that way. You will be provided all the correct terms and agreements.
The internet should only be used to buy parts or CD's, never contractual things. Trust me. I've seen WAY too many people buy from the web and come into my indirect outlet with a broken VZW phone. I can NOT help them at all except answer a few questions. I didn't sell the equipment. I can't touch it. It sucks.
