Yet another gloom and doom article for VErizon ......This is getting better every day.
Lets see them results Verizon.......Looks like all those unhappy customer ATT port ins did not materialize as many here expected.

Verizon is now offering unlimited text messaging....The numbers will not be good. They are in panic mode and the CEO is blowing off his mouth in a very arrogant fashion ...amazing. Sounds like frustration to me.
People are realizing Verizon is a good company but not as good as they had many believing nor that much better than Cingular. Cingular has added nearly 6 Million POST merger despite all the accolades Verizon gets from CU....and the various CS surveys and Network reliability testing.....
Go figure... Arrogance in large successful companies is ALWAYS rewarded with disappointment. Seen it a hundred times and been involved with one particularly revealing one.

Its ridiculous to predict exact numbers. Even analysts who do this thing all day cannot do that..nor can you. I do not belive Verizon will claim more than 1.4 million. It will be less. maybe by a hair,maybe by a lot of hairs, but no matter it will be less.
I put my future posts in this forum on the line that Cingular would continue to beat Verizon in adds this quarter, and that it was not a fluke last quarter based on VErizon's arrogant stance as reflected by their Sales reps and a majority of their reps on this board and most recently by their own CEO.....Ivan Ivan Ivan,,,,

I made it based soley on my experiences with Sales Reps and the corporate culture of Verizon soley.....
Mant others made their predictions based on working at Cingular and having inside information.
I have earned my bragging rights due to all the crap I took for it NOT being in the business. I will shut up as I have said if VErizon adds more than Cingular this quarter.
When I go back and read the responses to my "warnings" It just fuels the fire even more.

Yeah me too. I was ridiculed beyond contempt when I dared as an outsider suggest Verizon would not hold on to the number One spot after the merger and Cingular would add more customers than Verizon becoming the premiere Carrier within 2 years of the merger. Thats why I have to remind those who are still in denial a lowly customer saw what the "schooled" insiders could not even imagine......has come to pass...

When will you get it through your head They are not independant of each other and some of the income from wireless goes to VErizon.IN fact Verizon depends on it..........The only reason stock price of Verizon has gone up in the past is VErizon wireless the reason its at a 52 week low as of today...again Verizon Wireless.......

With the showing Cingular is making and with the cable issues and now reduction in plan prices and former revenue Verizon is giving away, I'll take the growth prospects and higher dividend at SBC for a lower entry price thanks. It's not exactly apples to apples.
Would you buy 1000 shares of a company giving away revenue at a 4.74% dividend for $34,000 or would you buy 1500 shares of a company in clear growth mode with the same P/E paying a 5.5% dividend?
If they meet in the middle your SBC investment will have paid ...

Why are all of you bickering about something you have no control over or has no affect on?? No matter what the outcome is after Verizon releases their numbers in a week, it won't mean anything to any of you. I highly doubt it anyways. Let's say Verizon does better, let's say they do worse....then what?? What will you guys do after that...just argue over who was right? Oh please...let's talk about something that more people in here can relate to. The average customer that comes in here will not care about this the exact quarterly numbers a company does. They probably don't even know what that is. So let's just end the drama please 🙂
