All day, every day. Cingy lovers and Vzw lovers bash each other. The truth is, they BOTH suck here in Wisconsin. I live in a town of 135,000 and get ONE signal bar strength in my house with Vzw. Cingular works in about 40% of the state and you are S.O.L. in the remaining 60%. So.... what's the answer?

U.S.Cellular !!!!!!!!!!

Didn't Cingular steal the Wisconsin State Motto for thier marketing campaign? "More Bars in More Places"? I have used my Verizon phone all over the state of Wisconsin and it worked pretty good for me all the way up to the U.P. of Michigan.

Wonder what Maximus will do when Verizon buys U.S. Cellular?

Your Verizon phone worked all over WI because it was using the USCC Network per the Roaming Agreement between the two companies in WI. If you take a peek at Verizon's actual "Digital Choice" coverage area, you'll see that their actual company owned network does suck...Milwaukee up to Green Bay and thats about it 😢

As for a buyout, I wouldn't get too excited if I were you. It's not likely that Verizon would even want to buy USCC as they are already located in most of the USCC networks and it wouldn't really help them out too much. Also, USCC is currently not up for sale. You may argue that any company could sell out for the right price, and you may be correct, but USCC is right now more concentrated on being a super regional carr...

Lay a map of Verizon and U.S Cellular over each other and you will see numerous areas in Wisconsin, Missouri, Indiana, Maine and in Washington and Oregon that would be an asset to Verizon, you also need to remember that Cingular had a lot of areas the fcc let them keep even though ATT had service in the areas.

You can say that U.S Cell is not for sale until you are Blue in the face and claim they don't want to sell out but they will eventually. The market will end up with one or two GSM carriers and one or two CDMA carriers in the near future and companies like U.S. Cell and Alltel will not be able to compete down the road with Sprintel and VZW.

Look at Europe and you will see that most countries have 2-4 carriers which allows the...

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see. 🙄 I hope you are a patient person.

It will take years and years before the US is down to 4 carriers and as for the buyout you claim is on the verge of happening, I still know that you are wrong. USCC is in the midst of its largest "built from the ground" launch with its opening of the St. Louis Market. Do you really believe that they just invested all of that money to not make any profit off of it....highly doubtful. But like I said, I guess we'll just wait and see, won't we. 😲
