I am seriously confused....Does the Droid X and the Droid 2 have the same specs inside?

I don't think so. If what I read was correct, the X beats it almost every spec.

Except one: Droid 2 has a real/physical/slideout keyboard! 😲

I guess that depends on whether or not you like physical keyboards. I personally don’t like them. They add unnecessary weight and bulk to the phone. So as far as I'm concerned, the X has it beat in that area too.

That's my point. The X is very big, but it weighs less and is thinner than the original Droid because it doesn't have a physical keyboard.

The thing is, I keep reading this or that and before I reserve the Droid X (since they're not readily available) I wanted to make sure that I got the phone I want. I hear exceptional things about the Droid X and the Droid 2 and the fact it has a physical keyboard kind of sways me towards the Droid 2. Now the Droid X is a phenomenal phone as well and the specs are incredible (no pun intended), but I have a Voyager and the touch is garbage

It's definitely a personal preference thing. If you like physical keyboards than you'll want the Droid 2. Virtual keyboards are WAY better than they used to be and I have gotten used to them. I was thrilled when I saw that the X doesn't have a phys...

Yeah, I realize that its personal preference. I guess my next step is to head to a Verizon store and mess around with each phone. I like the keyboard's but your right the technology has come along way since the Voyager. Thanks all for the help.

The Voyager used a resistive touch screen where as the Droid is a capactitive touch. Capactitive touch is WAY better!

I've heard rumors of middle of august. That could be the release of the Verizon Galaxy S phone too though.

My big question is what in the world am i going to do with my remaining stock of Moto Droid 1's when the 2 drops?

I also had a Voyager before going to the Droid. The physical keyboard on the Droid is not as nice but the Touch screen is much better. I would choose the Droid X if I could change right now. Just waiting until 2011 for the 4G phones....
