My Tour is dying and my NE2 isn't until March

What are the chances I can get Verizon to let me replace my Tour with a Droid X or Droid 2 and not pay full price?

Going to call Customer Service later today, after a bunch of meetings, but thought I would ask here first.

If you're the primary on a FSP and on a high enough plan or if you're on a high enough rate plan on a single line account then you can do what's called an Early Upgrade (after 12 mo of service). You get the 2yr pricing with a 2yr renewal (you only forgo the NE2 credit). I don't know if they still charge an Upgrade Fee or not.

Early Upgrades are way more worth it than waiting it out on NE2, heck... even if you didn't wanna upgrade, it's better to upgrade, then switch back to you're old phone and sell the upgrade to someone who isn't eligible for a discount. Sometimes you might even get a better price if you work somewhere that gets you a discount (though, not often anymore).
