Damn that's a lot! Personally I think Verizon should postpone the Motorola & Samsung tablets until the end of 1Q of 2011 and put 700'hz LTE in them.

There are also low-end Androids mentioned. Such as lower specced Droid X, same size screen, lower mp camera & lower processor for a lower price point.

Very interesting stuff! Check it out for yourself.

Hey, that's kind of cool that they are making low-end android devices. I wonder how they will function, but at the same time it's a good option for those who want the features but don't need the raw power.

Really? What is the need for power except for gaming. And well Android really isn't there yet with gaming as a platform.

The potential is definetly there though with Adobe Air support, six sensor accelerometers, and 1.3-1.5ghz processors.

Oh it's minor. Phone lag switching screens, time waiting for apps to load, etc. Happens to a minor extent with some of the current phones (My Moment needed a new homescreen app to replace the default one before it ran smoothly), but it really is not anything major. I was just throwing that out there. 🙂

Again though, it does look like a good idea,

Homescreens on 2.2 are very, very smooth, and there are 5 by default.

I think Verizon has just under 93m customers right now (92.8m), . . .so I wonder if maybe by the end of the 1Q of next year its feasible for Verizon to reach the 100m customer mark.

With all these Android smartphones launching every 2-3 months, and then all the business customers that will be coming on once LTE launches in 30+ cities, I think its feasible.

CRAP!! now I really don't know what I want

The HTC Merge and the MOTO sick caught my eye though. I am going to have to hold off on getting a phone for a few more months now.

WOW!! Good find Jay; this is really cool stuff. Makes me think the liklyhood of Vz and crApple hooking up anytime soon is pretty remote eh? Besides, I happen to think Android has surpassed iOS and is going to leave it in the dust. I'm eagerly looking forward to one of those world phones myself.

"Crapple"? Very mature. If Android IS indeed superior to Apple then let the market bear it out. Why are you afraid to let them compete head-to-head. Could it be that if Verizon were to offer an iphone or similar device it would crush all Android sales? And if this were to happen would we then hear that the only reason consumers were choosing the VZW iphone device over Android was because they were "sheep" or "clones" or "lacked imagination"? Bottom line...who cares why people buy things? If they want them...sell it to them.

But I still can't be roused to care about the rumors. Eventually, I'm sure that they will be true, the mongers of said rumors throwing accolades and high fives.
When that happens, I will be the first to say "Kudos for being right, and the four-year wait until fruition justifies your correctness that much more."

That's what people don't understand. Most people who post iphone rumors do so because they are DESPERATE for an iphone on Verizon's vaunted (read😲ver-rated) network. Yes, they are going to continue to WISH and HOPE and PRAY that Big Red SOMEDAY gets an iphone and if it EVER happens they won't be on this forum gloating about how they predicted it all along. They will be too busy standing in line to buy one and once they get one they will be too busy slobbering all over the damned thing. The people deserve the opportunity to buy an over-rate device on an over-rated network EVEN IF some on this forum...wouldn't for whatever reason.

After nearly 5 months of being with Verizon now, I can say I definetly agree w/u that Verizon is overated. I have had dropped calls here in Las Vegas, and so has my mother in Ct. Also, my data drops from 3G to 1x quite often.
So yeah, Verizon is most definetly overated! Those network advertisements have the whole country brainwashed.

But I do like how much more agresive Verizon is being with LTE, with intentions of having 75% of the country covered by April 2012. AT&T just isn't agresive/ambitous enough for me.

If when my contract expires I'm not happy with Verizon, Sprint will be my next choice with WiMax and more reasonable rate plans.

I don't make a lot of money and these wireless bills are very, very expensive.

ummm-I was taking a back door approach and pointing out that with all of the IPHONE rumors swirling about YET ONCE AGAIN, that Vz seems to be going in the complete oposite direction and bringing in even more Android phonesd, in effect throwing cold water on this overheated rhetoric that we are SO tired of(except SCOTT). Personally I like this concentration of Androids which I regard as a better OS at this time than the IPHONE. But your right, I'v always said I like choices so bring it on; if that's what the shee...er consumers want, so be it.
