I was playing with both the Droid X and Droid 2 today at my local store. I must say that I came impressed with both phones, but the floor model of the X was sluggish and it froze up a few times cause I couldn't unlock it. This is gonna make my decision harder than I thought.

I have the X it hands down kicks the D2 in the teeth! I wouldn't go by the store display model there are too many people messing up those phone for it to be a good example of its performance.

Buy it online and they will bill up to $250 to your account. They are supposed to do this in the stores as well, but why bother with a mail in rebate when online is instant discount?

Well...they're both Motorolas so...I would have to recuse myself due to bias against that manufacturer.

I always thought there was a limit like this too. Last month however we upgraded a Droid X and billed the whole $299.99 to the account and also purchased one at retail for the $569.99 or whatever it was and it also allowed us to add that on the bill. The only downside is now we have a bill over $1100! LOL

If the vphone ever gets released, I doubt you'll be able to upgrade to it. Verizon won't sell it, just allow it on network.

Dirty Dirty.

I do hope to see it.. but if Sanygus REALLY wants to make people sit up and take notice, they should commit to an aggressive upgrade cylce, make the phones easily rootable, and make their drivers available to devs

For those of you that have been coming here seeing my posts about being undecided on what phone to get, I've finally made my decision. I am going with the Droid X. It was down to this or the Droid 2. I read some different reviews on the Droid 2's keyboard not really being that much better but figured specs wise I can adjust to the Droid X.

Thanks for reading
