You people keep arguing about Cingular versus Verizon. Well, I've had them both. Wouldn't use EITHER as my cell=phone provider if THEY PAID ME.
The answer is U.S. Cellular. Plain and simple. Not even close. Cingy and Vzw are poor imitations of cell-phone carriers compared to USCC. Luv ya. 🙂

You are 100 % correct Maximus. U.S. Cellular is in a league of their own. Cingular and Verizon can slug it out for 2nd place.

As another victim of Cingular and Verizon bites the dust, I give upp! I've had them both and you guys are right. However, if you move around alot like me and have a country address and a city address and a Florida address does that also equate into the world of US Cellular. I travel internationally and use a GSM T-mobile phone I purchased in Italy five years ago and just keep changing the chip. My needs are varied. So who do you go to if you have a problem or is that a moot point due to the fact that service does not exist at the cing and ver service centers anyway? Please explain....

I see a point there, sadly. Seattle-Bellevue-Redmond does not have service with USCC. They are limited to small markets and in WA, small towns.

*checks coverage*

Coverage looks good, but the market coverage looks limited. Lots of roaming coverage maybe.

*Nods after reading fine print* Great provider if you stay inside the lines of the "Licensed Markets" areas...after that the fine print indicates possible roaming charges.

Good if you stay where you are...and don't travel anywhere ever...

(My assumption after doing research on their site) VZW - Cingular - Sprint - T-Mobile at least promise National Coverage...most without Roaming fees.

Yeah dude, US Cell is so awesome that this is how 80% of people experience them:

*at US Cellular's website...*

"Thank you for your interest in U.S. Cellular. Unfortunately, we do not provide wireless service in the Zip code you have entered. Please try another Zip code or select a State/City combination."
